Since then, SpaceX has successfully completed 40 missions to the International Space Station (ISS), while Boeing has managed only one, which required a rescue mission to bring astronauts back safely.
Baron criticized the traditional “cost-plus” contracts that have historically burdened government projects, advocating for fixed-price contracts that incentivize efficiency and accountability. He emphasized that SpaceX’s approach has demonstrated significant cost savings and operational success, suggesting that similar strategies could revolutionize government contracting and project management in aerospace and beyond.
